Polycom introduces the RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite at Team Polycom 2013
February 11, 2013 -- Toronto, Ontario
The Polycom RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite is a first-of-its-kind software solution that brings contacts from all your presence-based apps into a global directory of participants that you can drag and drop into a Polycom, business-class video collaboration session, allowing others outside your organization to securely join the conference via a browser with one click. It is an innovative software extension of the Polycom RealPresence Platform designed for private and public cloud deployments – available in both an enterprise and partner/service provider edition – that enables universal access to enterprise-grade video collaboration to any business (B2B) or consumer (B2C) at the highest quality, reliability, and security.
Polycom RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite lets Polycom customers easily add anyone on Skype, Facebook, Google Talk and other business video apps to their video conferences from a browser. RealPresence CloudAXIS is a suite of software that runs on the Polycom RealPresence Platform and securely extends enterprise-grade video and content collaboration outside the firewall for B2B and B2C video communication that truly enables ubiquitous video collaboration.
RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite delivers an intuitive web user interface that makes it easier for users to safely and securely connect with anyone outside their organization/firewall. The RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite client collects presence information from all participants who are actively online from the host's social and video apps and then imports those contacts into a global directory. The host can then drag and drop participants into a videoconference. Once the host starts the call, the invited participants receive a hyperlink in the chat window of their social or video application and, in one click, are immediately placed into a Polycom enterprise-grade video collaboration session via their browser.
