Broadcast Systems [Electronic] Engineer - Toronto, Ontario
Applied Electronics Limited is a national technology sales and integration company specializing in broadcast, production, post production, and audio/visual corporate and educational markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Broadcast Systems [Electronic] Engineer to join our team at head office.The ideal candidate possesses the following skills & experience:
- A minimum of 5 years work experience
- Post secondary education in a recognized technical program
- Knowledge of VISIO and/or AutoCad
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently while functioning in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- System design, checkout and commissioning of media based integrated solutions, including broadcast and corporate communication customers.
- Supervisory role of system installations; coordinate wireman and assigned technical resources on site.
- Provide technical sales support for demonstration and systems sales as required.

A/V Sales Representative - Calgary, Alberta
Applied Electronics Limited is a national audio/visual sales and integration company specializing in corporate and educational markets. We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Representative for our Calgary office.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills & experience:
- 3-5 years of A/V system design experience
- In-depth knowledge of industrial audio visual equipment
- Strong sales orientation with a proven sales track record
- Excellent customer relationship building skills
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated to achieve objectives
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving aptitudes
- Ability to provide accurate information and guidance to prospective and existing customers, including pricing & technical specs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and adept in executive and public presentations
- Additional experience in Broadcast, Post Production or Professional Video markets is an asset
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & implement a sales strategy to drive new business, while nurturing a solid customer base utilizing some of the following strategies:
- Consult with clients to assess their business objectives and audio/visual needs
- Specifically target high-level executives of Canadian Fortune 1000 companies across a full spectrum of industries
- Develop a plan of action to address these objectives and follow through with writing proposals and driving the sales cycle to close
- Respond to customer requests for proposals and prepare detailed proposals that include hardware, software and services in order to meet or exceed annual sales & revenue objectives.
- Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Maintain visibility of projects from conception to completion.
