MTO’s COMPASS System is a large integrated highway traffic management system intended to improve safety, optimize highway capacity, provide faster detection and response to incidents on the highway, and balance traffic volumes between the highway and adjacent routes.

MTO’s London Traffic Operations Centre monitors the entire Southwest Ontario region highway system on a 14 ft. wide x 5 ft. high display wall.  The system is composed of 8 Christie Digital CX50-100U 50” (diagonal) XGA DLP display wall cubes and 8 Christie RPMX-D120U rear screen tiling projectors, driven by an Evertz MVP display controller.
