Users can create, share and edit ideas and information by working directly on the wall or on their own devices via the Span app. All changes made on the wall or from a device are instantly visible to all users.
BC Hydro - Network Control Centre
BC Hydro is one of the largest electric utilities in Canada, providing high-value, reliable power to fuel economic growth in British Columbia. BC
Hydro’s primary business activities are the generation and
distribution of electricity and their control centre in Vancouver monitors the transmission lines.
Applied Electronics was contracted to design and integrate a rear projection system composed of a wall structure housing six 100” (diagonal) display screens, mirror system and high performance DLP projectors. The new monitor wall replaced an existing static mimic analog board which was removed entirely and the wall on which it was affixed taken down in order to construct a brand new wall that would meet the design and space requirements of the new display system.
Great care was taken to ensure that the new monitor wall was integrated seamlessly; hence a custom metal stand assembly was fabricated to house the projectors, mirrors and screens in order to solve the space limitation problem.
