City of North Perth – Council Chamber
The Municipality of North Perth, located in the northern reaches of Perth County, is a strong, vibrant community. Consisting of the former townships of Wallace and Elma and the Town of Listowel, the new Town combines the best of small urban and rural environments. Applied Electronics was awarded the contract to design, supply and install audio video systems into the City’s new council chamber in Listowel, Ontario.
A major requirement was for the system to accommodate multiple purposes and not a single-function operation for just council meetings. A reliable wireless solution was chosen for the delegate station system – the TOA TS Series Infrared conference system is simple and quick to set-up for meetings when needed and could be stored away when not in use.
The system is comprised of two interlinking presentation systems: The main council chamber was configured with 18 TOA infrared delegate stations, 4 large Sharp LCD monitors, an Extron signal routing system, Sennheiser wireless microphones, ClearOne DSP, and Crestron control system with a touchscreen control panel.
The large meeting room is linked to the council chamber and can be used as an overflow space. The meeting room is outfitted with a 60” Sharp LCD screen, TOA audio system, and Crestron system with a touchscreen control panel.
