Applied Electronics Designs and Integrates New Conferencing System into Boardrooms at Shared Services Canada
Québec, Québec and Ottawa, Ontario
Shared Services Canada (SSC) is responsible for delivering mandated email, data centre and network services to partner organizations in a consolidated and standardized manner to support the delivery of Government of Canada programs and services. SSC also provides certain optional technology-related services to government organizations on a cost-recovery basis. In 2013, SSC’s mandate expanded with the addition of the consolidation of government-wide procurement of software and hardware for workplace technology devices.
Applied Electronics designed and integrated a brand new conferencing system in an existing boardroom at SSC’s office in Québec, which now enables improved collaboration among local and remote team members. The new audio visual system includes a Polycom RealPresence HD Codec with Polycom EagleEye digital conferencing cameras, a NEC 90” LED panel display, two NEC 50” LED LCD display monitors, and an Extron control system.
Applied Electronics also upgraded a boardroom at the SSC head office in Ottawa, Ontario, with a new display system including a Sharp 60” AQUOS interactive LED panel display with HDMI and USB extender to laptop location in the boardroom.
