Applied Electronics Equips Google Toronto Office with Client Experience Centre Enabling Streaming Services
Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. As a global technology leader, Google’s innovations in web search and advertising have made its website a top internet property and its brand one of the most recognized in the world. Google Canada has offices in Waterloo, Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa with nearly 1,000 Canadian Google employees working on teams across Engineering, AI Research, Sales, Marketing, PR, Policy, and HR.
Google Canada’s new Toronto office takes over five floors of a heritage building in Toronto’s downtown core, and it provides an environment that sparks the imagination while being anchored with well-designed ergonomic spaces and seamless integration of technology.
Google contracted Applied Electronics to design, supply and integrate audio visual and unified communications systems in a series of medium and large boardroom and meeting rooms at their new Toronto office or remote collaboration with other Google offices within Canada and around the globe.
Combining our expertise in Broadcast and Audio Visual Systems, Applied Electronics was Google’s partner of choice to build their new Client Experience.
Centre which is a hybrid presentation / broadcast facility. The system enables presenters to deliver content to both local audiences as well as live broadcast and recording. Adjacent to the Client Experience Centre is a lounge equipped with additional large display monitors, a suitable space intended to accommodate audience overflows.
After the overwhelming success of building Google Canada’s new hybrid presentation / live broadcast and recording facility in Toronto, Applied Electronics was awarded a second project consisting of multiple meeting spaces at their Waterloo headquarters - Google’s biggest R&D office in Canada located in the heart of Waterloo Region’s tech sector in downtown Kitchener, Ontario. The subsequent contract with Google Canada was to upgrade another 23 medium and large meeting spaces and a Tech Talk training room at its regional office, where their software engineers, product managers, user experience researchers, and designers collaborate to build systems used by hundreds of millions around the globe.
Applied Electronics also maintains an AV Service and Support contract with Google Canada. Services provided include: design, supply, integration, and support of videoconferencing rooms, Skype/Huddle spaces, digital signage, room scheduling, and customer experience centres.
