theScore’s Brand New Waterfront Headquarters

Toronto, ON

Score Media and Gaming Inc. (theScore) is a Toronto-based leading digital media, sports betting and technology company, and the maker of Canada’s most popular sports app.

Having outgrown its previous home located in the bustling core of downtown Toronto, theScore relocated its operations into a newly constructed 11-storey, 80,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art building, known as the Waterfront Innovation Centre (WIC) at 125 Queens Quay East, next to Sugar Beach on Toronto’s beautiful waterfront.

In 2022, Applied Electronics was contracted as theScore’s AV and Broadcast integration partner to outfit the office with audio & visual technology, as well as build a brand new live production studio.

The build consisted of many office spaces and meeting rooms, combined with open-concept office spaces ladened with digital signage throughout, collaboration hybrid meeting zones, a large town hall, and a formal NDI-based broadcast studio and live production suites.

theScore’s new office spaces were completed in Summer 2023, while the broadcast studio was completed in Fall 2023.

Broadcast Blood in Gaming

Applied Electronics helped expand the network infrastructure capabilities at theScore, delivering remote connectivity, media asset management and PCoIP solutions.

This enables theScore’s live production and content creation teams in Toronto to engage, collaborate, share content, and manage media assets centrally with team members working remotely or from additional offices in the United States.

theScore's NDI-based broadcast studio will be completed in Fall 2023 and will include a large production studio space, a green screen studio, a production control room, an audio recording suite, and a make-up & wardrobe suite for Talent, with room to scale production operations.

theScore maintains a Service & Support agreement with Applied Electronics to access ongoing technical support for their new facility.

For the next phase of theScore’s technical evolution in 2024, Applied Electronics will be supporting the transition of their existing conferencing infrastructure over to Microsoft Teams for all UC systems throughout the office building.
